The implementation rate of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) during the July-February period of the current fiscal (FY18) marked a slight rise compared to that of the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

ADP implementation rate of the first eight months of FY18 was 38.01 per cent, whereas the implementation rate of FY17 was 36.91 per cent.

The expenditure of ADP implementation of July-February of the current fiscal was Tk 623.72 billion. The expenditure of the corresponding period of the previous fiscal was Tk 453.52 billion.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal came up with the data after a meeting of Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) at NEC conference room on Tuesday.

The ADP implementation rate during the 2015-16 fiscal year was 34 per cent with an overall expenditure of Tk 386.75 billion, he added.

"In terms of expenditure, the rate of ADP implementation almost doubled in the past three years. The GDP growth will comparably high as all indexes of current fiscal year were positive", the minister said.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting.

Earlier; the National Economic Council (NEC) has approved a Tk 1,576 billion Revised Annual Development Programme (RADP), including organisations' own funds, for the current fiscal year (FY18) downsizing the original ADP of Tk 1,641 billion.

"The NEC today approved the revised original ADP making a Tk 49.50 billion cut from the part of foreign sources," said Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.

Besides, the amount of the organisations' own fund was cut by Tk 15.40 billion and it now stands at Tk 9.21 billion in the revised ADP, he said.

So, the ADP size excluding the organisations' own fund now stands at Tk 1484 billion, of which Tk 963 billion coming from local sources while the rest Tk 520.5 billion from foreign sources
