There is no room for political consideration in farmer card distribution: Law Minister

Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Advocate Md. Asaduzzaman stated on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, that the government is dedicated to improving the lives of farmers with full transparency.

Distributing Farmer Cards to 1,679 farmers in Shailkupa, Jhenaidah, the Minister emphasized that there is no room for political bias or irregularities in the process.

He highlighted that the government has already waived agricultural loans up to 10,000 BDT and is implementing canal-digging projects nationwide to boost production.

The event was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, and the Minister assured that every genuine farmer in the country would eventually receive a card under this social safety net program.
