Host Ireland and the West Indies are the two other teams in the tournament that is seen as the perfect preparation for the Tigers ahead of the World Cup in England and Wales.

The tri-series starts today with the match between Ireland and the West Indies but Bangladesh will take to the field Tuesday when they will face off against the Windies at Castle Avenue Cricket Club Ground, Clontarf in Dublin.

The tri-series trophy was unveiled Saturday where Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Ireland skipper William Porterfield and West Indies captain Jason Holder were present.

The Tigers reached Dublin Thursday and took part in a training session at Pembroke Cricket Club field Saturday morning where all the Bangladesh cricketers practised.

Bangladesh initially announced a 17-member squad for the tri-series, adding Nayeem Hasan and Yasir Ali to the 15-member squad for the World Cup 2019.

Later, they also added fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and all-rounder Farhad Reza, making it a 19-member squad.

The selectors earlier said a few changes may take place in the World Cup squad since the last deadline of bringing up changes to the World Cup squad is on May 23.

Therefore the four players—Nayeem, Yasir, Taskin and Farhad - can still force their case for the showcase event.
