Banks to bear medical expenses of employees

Banks will bear all medical expenses if any of the employees get sick while doing their duties.

This will be applicable for any sorts of sickness including COVID-19 infection. 

The decision came after a teleconference meeting held on Sunday 10am between Executive Committee of Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB), the organisations said in a press release. 

Emphasising on the sacrifices bank officials are making to keep the country's economy active, the press release further says that banks will give maximum compensation to the family of bank employees, in case anyone falls victim to the virus.

Bangladesh today confirmed four more deaths from the novel coronavirus and new cases of infection jumped to 139 in the country.

With this, the death toll rises to 34 from the virus and a total of 621 people are infected so far.
