UP member becomes millionaire after purchasing Walton fridge

Sayed Ali, Dharabarisha Union Parisahd member in Natore’s Gurudaspur upazila, became millionaire after he purchased a Walton refrigerator during its ongoing nationwide Digital Campaign Season-4.

Walton announced the offer for the customers of its wide ranges of refrigerators and freezers. Customers can also get cash vouchers or thousands of electronics and electrical appliances under the offer that will continue until September 30.

The UP member purchased an 11 cft refrigerator worth Tk 27,400 on August 1 from Walton Plaza of Chanchkair Bazar. He took part in the digital registration process and got Tk 10 lakh. 

The authorities of Walton have handed over a check of Tk 10 lakh to him at a programme in front of the showroom on September 15.

The function was also attended by Gurudaspur upazila chairman Anwar Hossain, upazila Mohila vice-chairman Roksana Akter, Gurudaspur Police Station officer-in-charge Mozaharul Islam, local newspaper ‘Daily Dibaratri’ editor Atahar Hossain, Walton area manager Akter Habib Khan Shur and Walton Plaza manager Kumar Avijit Gour.

Sayed Ali said, “When I got the message of receiving Tk 10 lakh, I did not believe at first and later, was convinced after talking with the officials of the plaza.”

Thanking Walton, Sayed Ali also said that although he is a member of UP, he run the family through farming. He took out a loan three years ago during the election. He would pay the loan first and the rest of the money would be used for taking lands to cultivate.
