BNP appoints directors for Tarique’s security, protocol, coordination

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced new appointments to the security and support team of its acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

A press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed this to media.

The press release issued on Tuesday said that Major (retd) Mohammad Shafawat Ullah has been appointed as director (security) of Tarique’s security team.

Major (retd) Moinul Hossain has been appointed as director (protocol) while Captain (retd) Md Gani Ul Azam has been appointed as director (coordination).

According to the party, the appointments have been made to strengthen organisational coordination, protocol management and security arrangements related to Tarique.
