CHT gets TK 13.62 billion in proposed FY26 budget

Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs has been allocated TK 13.62 billion (1,362 crore) in the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today made the announcement while unveiling the national budget for FY26 in a televised speech.

He said TK 4.75 billion (475 crore) is designated for operational expenses, while TK 8.87 billion (887 crore) is earmarked for development expenditure.

In comparison, the revised budget for FY25 allocated TK 13.04 billion (1,304 crore) for the ministry.
